These are the timeless professional skills that employers will continue to demand even as “software eats the world” and digital technologies improve exponentially:

Critical Thinking. Communication. Team Work. Leadership. Ethical Reasoning.

Objectives.

At MDI.TOKYO, every Program and Course has clearly specified Learning Goals and Objectives. Learning Goals will vary based on the Program or Course. However, Learning Objectives remain consistent across Programs and Courses: Critical Thinking. Communication. Team Work. Leadership. Ethical Reasoning.

Why?

Our mission is to develop professionals who are prepared to manage, negotiate, find and solve problems, innovate, inspire, and engage in ethical, entrepreneurial approaches to value creation. These skills are essential capabilities for professional development and for achieving our mission.

How do we do it?

Critical Thinking Skills

are developed through careful reading and self-study, discussions at the Learning Team level, discussions at each Learning Session, and through the completion of After Action Reports.

Communication Skills

are developed through the careful preparation of Case Analysis Memos and Presentations.

Team Work Skills

are developed through dedicated participation as a member of a Learning Team.

Leadership Skills

are also developed through dedicated participation as a member of a Learning Team and participation in Learning Sessions, particularly when you are engaged in developing and influencing others, managing team and Section Cohort performance, and setting expectations and internal deadlines with a view to achieving excellence.

Ethical Reasoning Skills

are developed through the completion of After Action Reports.
